AEIOU employees are entitled to the highest cap of Not-for-Profit salary packaging benefits of up to $15,900.Five (5) weeks annual leave, plus the option to purchase additional leave.Relocation package considered as required.Subsidised Car parking, financial service recognitions, and a strong Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for both you and your immediate family are amongst some of the initiatives offered by AEIOU.As part of the Executive Leadership Team, the Head of Research performs a key role in setting and reviewing AEIOU's research strategy by providing direction, leadership and advice to other ELT members, the CEO and Board.Overseeing of the team's delivery of gold-standard clinical assessments to autistic children, you will use the data collected to drive research, understand and evaluate AEIOU's program, and contribute to setting the strategic priorities of the AEIOU Foundation.You will provide a high level of support and supervision to your team of research and clinical assessment professionals, including mentoring and coaching of emerging talent, and foster and facilitate relationships with other collaborators including national research centres, key academics and industry researchers.Our Head of Research will:Be a strong people leader, who is invested in the mission, objectives and culture of The AEIOU Foundation.Demonstrate a detailed and in-depth understanding of the current autism and/or early learning research environment.Demonstrate experience in managing clinical outcome data as it relates to behaviour and intellectual assessments of young children.Evidence their approach to leading a high-performing professional team and mentoring and enhancing competencies across quantitative assessment and research practices.Be professionally registered and qualified across psychology, special education, or related discipline, combined with a PhD or other relevant post graduate qualification(s). The Foundation has the ongoing challenge of raising up to $10,000 per child, per year, to ensure we can continue to provide affordable access to this life-changing program, and foster bright futures for a generation of children, while also funding important research.Along with providing early intervention, AEIOU is also committed to research, and chairs a Research Advisory Group, and is a funding-partner of the first national Autism Cooperative Research Centre (CRC).
