Job Description How will I help?
The Head of Corporate and Retail Projects is responsible for overseeing the delivery of corporate and retail capital works projects for Westpac Group. This includes developing and implementing the Group's corporate capital plan strategy and the delivery of the Group's retail capital works programs. The Head of Corporate and Retail Projects will ensure that all projects are executed efficiently, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Reporting to the Chief Property & Security Officer, you will oversee the delivery of the Group's corporate and retail capital works programs, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and corporate policy requirements including BCA, H&S, procurement and sustainability standards. As the Head of Corporate and Retail Projects, you'll develop and align long-term plans for corporate and retail capital works to achieve Group's strategic objectives. As the leader of a team of design and property project management professionals, you will be responsible for developing and upholding retail and corporate design standards, working closely with internal stakeholders and overseeing procurement activities. You will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. Additionally, you will develop service level agreements and benchmark performance to demonstrate best practice in construction delivery, positioning the team as leaders in continuous improvement. A capable leader, you will develop, mentor and coach the corporate and retail projects team to build a team of passionate and experienced property professionals, inspired to deliver first-class capital works programs and projects.
What do I need?
To find success as the Head of Corporate and Retail Projects, you will need considerable experience (over 10 years) leading the delivery of retail and corporate capital works projects. You hold a tertiary qualification in construction, project management or a discipline appropriate to the role. You have worked for a bank, or other major corporate occupier, and have experience in managing and uplifting design standards and construction project management quality control processes. With a minimum of 5 years' people leadership experience, including the ability to manage remotely, you are considered an exceptional leader. You will have exceptional stakeholder management skills and demonstrable experience successfully delivering corporate and retail capital works programs to completion on time, within scope and budget.
