We are looking for a leader with a depth of experience in project management within the construction industry for the newly created role of Head of Project Development to drive development and redevelopment across our extensive property network.

The Role:
As the Head of Project Development, you will be tasked with assessing the viability of new projects, securing resources, and working collaboratively with the Executive General Managers of the various business units in the development of detailed project business cases for submission to the Capital Allocation Committee and InvoCare Board for approval, followed by implementation and tracking of specific major development projects across all business units.

Reporting to the Executive General Manager, you will establish project design and execution disciplines as well as source and develop greenfield developments as our business expands into new markets.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Project Development:
Develop and implement strategies for new projects Assess project feasibility, including scope, cost, timeline, and resources Conduct risk assessments to anticipate challenges within each major project and develop contingency plans Project Management:
Oversee the planning, execution, and tracking of projects from inception to completion Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders across the business units Ensure all projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths Stakeholder Engagement:
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across all business units Prepare and present project updates Manage internal client and other stakeholder expectations throughout the lifecycle of the project Resource and Budget Management:
Allocate resources effectively to ensure the project is achieved on time and within financial budget allocated Continually monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and value in all areas Negotiate contracts with builders, suppliers, and vendors What We're Looking For:
Formal qualifications in a project management/development discipline along with subsequent experience in major project development industry Exceptional communication, influencing, and negotiation skills High level understanding of strategic business development strategies Proven client and stakeholder management orientation and ability to implement and manage client-focused service delivery High order organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills allied to practical judgement Demonstrated creativity in the development of innovative solutions required within a complex environment Significant leadership experience and ability to manage through influence with broad and diverse stakeholder groups A track record of successfully delivering large construction projects on time and on budget Why Join Us?
