Head of Programs - Environmental Markets and StandardsEco-Markets Australia is seeking a Head of Programs – Environmental Markets and Standards.Role Description:This role is responsible for leading Eco-Markets Australia's portfolio of Programs which involves overseeing the administration, governance, operations and integrity of the nature markets we administer.The Head of Programs reports directly to the CEO and is supported by a Program Officer (1 x FTE), with the possibility of future team expansion.Role Responsibilities:Uphold and oversee the governance, assurance and compliance of all Program Standards that Eco-Markets Australia administers.Lead and manage the development of new environmental markets, products, and services.Lead engagement with and utilisation of the Technical Advisory Committee on matters relating to Standards and Methodologies.Lead public consultation requirements for all Program Standards.Represent the organisation as required.Work closely with the Head of Communications to identify priorities to enhance and promote existing Programs, attract new markets, and manage brand as required.Manage and support the Program Officers, through coordinating workflow and mentoring.About Eco-Markets Australia:Eco-Markets Australia is a leading non-profit environmental market administrator dedicated to facilitating investment in nature restoration and preservation through innovative programs. Join a small and passionate team dedicated to environmental sustainability and innovation!Skills Required:Demonstrated experience in a high-level administration or governance role, with a discerning eye for detail and accuracy.Previous project coordination experience, working across teams to achieve outcomes, or managing a large project or a Program portfolio.People management experience, with the ability to lead and support a small team of Program Officers.Effective time management, prioritisation and workflow coordination skills.Team player who can manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and work independently when required.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills.High-level reporting skills with previous experience reporting to senior external stakeholders, including the Board of Directors.A genuine interest in the natural environment and sustainability sectors.Degree-level tertiary qualifications in governance, assurance, project management, business management or another relevant discipline.Knowledge of Nature Markets or the environmental markets sector (regulatory or voluntary).Knowledge of land management practices and regulatory frameworks related to land use.Experience working with Indigenous communities and an understanding of Indigenous culture is highly desirable.Background:This role could suit individuals with diverse relevant experience, including but not limited to:Governance, Risk Management, Compliance and Assurance.Principal Program Officer or a Program Manager with experience or knowledge in Sustainability, Natural Environment or related fields.Sustainability consultancy.Strategic Advisor, Senior Executive Officer or Senior Policy Advisor with broad governance or program management expertise.Carbon Market or Environmental Markets.Stakeholder Engagement.Application Process:Interested candidates are encouraged to apply promptly, as applications will be reviewed as received.To apply, please submit your CV along with a two-page cover letter that addresses the key requirements and provides examples of relevant experience for this role.
