ABOUT THE ROLE Dandenong Tech School aims to prepare students for the jobs of the future, equip them with the skills to thrive in a digital world, and inspire them to create a better future for themselves and their communities.
As we build our facilities, systems, and programs from the ground up, the Head of Programs will collaborate internally, and with schools, industries, and community stakeholders to create immersive learning experiences that inspire and empower young people and educators.
Their leadership will be instrumental in cultivating a culture of innovation and excellence, ensuring that Dandenong Tech School becomes a hub of creativity and discovery.
Your key responsibilities include:
Provide ongoing leadership and support to facilitation and teaching staff, where every member of the team is empowered to innovate and excel.Lead the delivery of responsive education programs that meet the organisation's objectives.Lead the engagement of industry and school partners.Lead the development of forward-thinking, innovative curriculum initiatives that push the boundaries of traditional science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM) education.Support the review of learning experiences across Dandenong Tech School, implement solutions to continually improve programs, and support the Director in reporting on progress against targets.Lead the development of teacher professional learning opportunities for internal staff, partner schools, industry and community stakeholders, and the broader community.Deliver high-quality, innovative STEAM-focused learning experiences to secondary school audiences, as well as internal staff, partner schools, industry and community stakeholders, and the broader community, where required.Build and leverage strategic relationships with Dandenong Tech School's partner organisations to promote the vision and goals of Dandenong Tech School.ABOUT YOU You have experience within industry and/or the educational sector and in the development, delivery, and embedding of innovative curriculum and learning programs for secondary-aged students.
Qualifications required for the role: Graduate or bachelor's degree in teaching or education.Vocational or Bachelor level qualifications in any of the Clean Energy, Science, Maths, Engineering, Arts, Design, Medical or Technology disciplines.ABOUT US Chisholm is one of the largest vocational training providers in the state with a team of over 1,400 dedicated staff supporting 41,000 students who choose to study at Chisholm and training at our modern campuses across Melbourne's southeast and online.
