An exciting time to join the business, with on-going investment into technology and processes, there is a thirst for driving operational excellence.
As Head of Production, you will form part of the Senior Leadership Team and report directly to the Managing Director. This is a brand-new role for the business, with the successful candidate playing a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and ensuring alignment with production targets in both local and international sites (4 in total).
You are a hands-on and practical manufacturing professional with a proven track record in production leadership, operations management, continuous improvement, and stakeholder engagement. The role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes.
Key responsibilities and deliverables of the role include: Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all manufacturing operations.Provide effective leadership to manufacturing teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.Foster a culture of continuous improvement among manufacturing teams through training, feedback, and empowerment.Identify areas for process improvement to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and streamline operations.Lead the preventative maintenance program to ensure regular maintenance of existing manufacturing lines and associated machinery is maintained across sites.You will be a degree or diploma qualified engineer (mechanical or electrical), have a minimum of five years' experience in a leadership role within a complex manufacturing industry such as a building products related industry or similar. You will have a proven capacity to engage with your teams and implement operational improvements, analyse data and identify opportunities to drive operational excellence.
