The Acusensus Head of Product will be responsible for the development and delivery of new enforcement technology solutions for the global markets served by Acusensus. The role involves defining the product strategy and roadmap while pushing the boundaries towards the limits of physics. The role demands cutting-edge product design, world-class manufacturing and strategic sourcing.
At the top of the leadership roles in our NSW facility, this position is expected to play a key role in fostering employee performance and happiness across the NSW team, and positively influencing a culture of care, collaboration, integrity, and performance.
The Head of Product will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer.
Some key responsibilities include:
Build, nurture, coach and inspire a talented and cohesive global product development and manufacturing team that is empowered and works collaboratively with other cross-functional teams across Acusensus to deliver its projects Drive cultural by influentially modelling behaviours that contribute to a positive, inclusive and energised working environment Break down barriers faced by the team to unlock high levels of productivity and energy Define the long-term, global product roadmap, strategically plan and align resources according to priorities, and resolve competing requirements Foster strong innovation by managing the fear of failure, and pushing the boundaries of what is possible Timely deliver contractual obligations in product development and manufacturing to unprecedented levels of safety and quality Proactively create space for creativity and continuous improvement across all aspects of product development and manufacturing, especially in the areas of quality, product cost, and ongoing cost Drive the adoption and refinement of lean manufacturing principles such as standardised work, value stream mapping, and reducing the seven types of waste in manufacturing Develop mature procurement and inventory management practices Lead strategic decision-making around which aspects of product development to insource and outsource Leverage Acusensus' change management processes and practices to ensure all product, sourcing and manufacturing changes are aligned with company strategy, communicated effectively, and adopted seamlessly Participate in the development and delivery of content for project tenders and bids, including estimates for the cost and time of all resources and materials needed to deliver a client contract Provide regular reporting and recommendations to the executive team on opportunities, risks, ideas and barriers Knowledge/ Key Attributes
Experience leading large engineering teams and a proven track record of influencing positive cultural strides Strategic business knowledge and understanding Deep understanding of the laws of physics and how they apply in our existing and future product designs Ability to conceive and conceptualise innovative solutions to complex problems, and drive continuous improvement in our product development and manufacturing processes Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles Strong relationship management, business partnering and influencing skills Excellent communication skills and highly service oriented Confidence to work with external stakeholders and a wide range of contractors to meet the company's contractual obligations Qualifications
Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent tertiary qualification A minimum ten years' experience in a relevant design and/or manufacturing engineering role A minimum six years' experience in an engineering leadership role Global experience or experience leading a global team What we can offer you
