About the role: As Head of Product you will be responsible for the transformation of the Selfwealth trading platforms to meet the evolving needs of customers. You will lead the strategic direction, working closely with the design team to ensure our product meets the needs of our users. Your focus will be on fostering innovation and excellence within the product team, guiding and mentoring product owners to deliver exceptional results. Additionally, you will be instrumental in shaping the product framework and approach for consistency and efficiency. Your leadership will be vital in driving growth and achieving our business objectives through strategic product development.
Key responsibilities Product Transformation & Growth Drive the strategic vision for the *product aligning it with the needs of target customer segments.Identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation within the online investing marketCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define and prioritise product features and enhancements.Develop and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap, prioritising features for maximum impactDrive product development through the entire lifecycle, from ideation to launch and beyond.*Product currently includes (but not limited to) B2C (web and mobile), B2B (advisor & admin platforms).
Leadership & Team Management Lead and inspire a team of product owners, providing guidance and mentorshipRecommend and implement the optimal product ownership structure across all platforms and channels (B2C, B2B)Ensure effective communication and coordination among product teams and cross-functional teams to maximise efficiency and effectiveness.Establish clear goals and KPI's for the product team, ensuring alignment with Selfwealth business objectives.Design Thinking and User Experience Champion a customer-centric approach to product development, advocating for the best interests of our customersConduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify target customer needs and opportunitiesWork closely with the design team to create intuitive and user-friendly interfacesConduct user research and gather feedback to inform product decisionsCommerical Focus & Benefits Tracking Champion a data-driven approach, levering insights to inform critical product decisionsOversee product performance metrics to track user adoption, engagement and platform usageBalance the cost of development with the needs of our customers, ensuring a high volume of usage and engagement.Implement strategies for tracking and measuring the benefits and impact of product enhancements.Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to drive product adoption and revenue growthRisk Management and Compliance Develop and enforce policies and procedures to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirementsCollaborate with internal risk and compliance teams to address any potential issues proactively.Experience Minimum of 8 years' experience in product/digital rolesDemonstrated experience in leadership or management roles with history of mentoring and coaching teams.Demonstrated success in launching and scaling digital products, preferably in a fast-paced agile environment.Knowledge of online trading platforms, financial markets and regulatory considerationsExperience working with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, marketing & sales.Knowledge of risk management strategies and regulatory compliance en decisions to improve product quality and user experienceStay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to inform product development decisionBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field (Master's degree preferred)Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field7+ years of experience in product management, with a proven track record of delivering successful productsStrong leadership and management skills, with experience managing a team of product managers, designers, and engineersExcellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teamsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisionsExperience with agile development methodologiesExperience in a fast-paced, high-growth environmentWe recognise the challenges of imposter syndrome and encourage those with unique insights to apply – your ideas could be the key to our team's innovation and success.
