Your technical expertise will drive the development of process safety systems and standards, and risk management practices to ensure regulatory compliance and best industry practice. As a Process Safety champion, you'll balance corporate policies with tailored solutions to meet unique business needs, safeguarding people, assets, and the environment.Key Responsibilities:Design and maintain process safety frameworks, systems and technical safety standards aligned with industry best practices, legislation, and regulatory requirements.Provide strategic insights to senior leadership, external clients, and stakeholders on complex, high-impact process safety issues and critical business decisions.Develop annual plans with measurable KPIs aligned with company strategy, identifying and implementing change initiatives for improved process safety performance.Lead process safety investigations, identify lessons learned, and drive continuous improvement.Coach, mentor, and develop process safety competence across the business.About You:Tertiary qualification in engineering complemented by extensive experience in process safety management in an oil and gas, petrochemical, hydrocarbon or power station environment. Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ) or equivalent.Extensive experience in process hazard analysis studies, complex risk assessments and implementing advanced controls in high-risk environments (energy, oil & gas, chemicals, utilities).Skilled at interpreting and applying complex HSE regulations in the areas of process safety and technical safety to ensure compliance and uphold industry standards.Proven ability to design and manage comprehensive process safety programs aligned with organizational goals.Demonstrated ability to lead process safety culture transformation, mentor teams, and influence senior management on strategic safety initiatives.Strong collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders to align on process safety priorities.Ability to champion long-term enhancements and integration of industry best practices.Origin - Where good change happensAt Origin, we're powered by people who believe in creating change.We are committed to fostering a diverse, gender equitable workforce, where everyone is welcome, and all applications are evaluated on merit and potential.
