This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled, innovative, and experienced philanthropic professional who is committed to making a significant contribution to the College's strategic direction.Located on Sydney's North Shore, St Ignatius' College Riverview caters for students from Year 5 - 12. It has two campuses close to each other: Senior Campus (Year 7-12) and Junior Campus (Year 5-6). The College has delivered quality education to both local and boarding students since 1880. The College aims to produce young men who are cognisant of and responsive to global citizenship in a rapidly changing world.As Head of Philanthropy at St Ignatius' College, you will drive philanthropic initiatives, focusing on cultivating strong community relationships. Reporting to the Chief Advancement Officer, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the College's mission by growing philanthropic support, particularly through initiatives aimed at strengthening the bursary program and securing capital gifts.The position requires:A purposeful, respectful, and gregarious leader, able to negotiate strategic fundraising initiatives.An outstanding communicator who collaborates extensively and builds capacity in all stakeholders.Ability to work closely with the Rector, new incoming Principal, and Executive Leadership Team to align fundraising efforts with the College's strategic goals and mission.To be successful, you will be able to:Develop and implement strategies to cultivate a culture of philanthropy within the College community, encompassing short-term fundraising goals and long-term objectives for the Bursary Program, Capital Gifts Program, Community passion projects, bequests, and others.In collaboration with the Chief Advancement Officer and Assistant Head of Philanthropy, curate strategic Foundation documentation.Lead substantial fundraising initiatives by cultivating relationships with prospective donors, soliciting contributions, and nurturing connections to secure substantial financial support.Research, develop, and manage fundraising campaigns and appeals, leveraging both traditional and digital platforms to engage donors and meet fundraising targets, with a big focus on Capital gift drives/building fund appeals.Liaise with the Advancement team to coordinate fundraising events and activities that enhance donor engagement, demonstrating the College's gratitude within the community.Collaborate with the Assistant Head of Philanthropy to enhance and manage philanthropic communications material for the College, including printed and digital brochures, flyers, and the website.Promote the vision, mission, values, and aims of a Catholic school in the Jesuit tradition.Experience and Qualifications:Proven ability to thrive in collaborative team environments.Strong time management skills with a consistent track record of meeting deadlines.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, adept at effectively engaging and negotiating with diverse stakeholders.Demonstrated skill in effective management practices.Cultivates and nurtures relationships, utilising diversity to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.Strategic thinker who fosters open dialogue and innovative solutions through collaborative idea sharing and debate.Demonstrates accountability for delivering results effectively.Upholds high standards of practice, integrating honesty, integrity, and rigorous ethical standards into risk management and governance.For a confidential conversation, enquiries regarding the application process, or to obtain an Applicant Information Pack, please contact:Sam Swain 02 8029 6960, ****** Withers 0437 419 232, ****** process:Applications will be received until Monday 14th October 2024.
