Your Role Collaborating with management, you'll identify HR priorities and recommend solutions for organisational development, culture, and change. The role will require industry-specific knowledge & experience as well as a hands-on approach to people management. As the Head of People, you'll be tasked with not only recruiting top talent from Australia but also from around the globe. You will develop and foster a vibrant and inclusive team culture which comprises shared values and goals, all whilst contributing on both a strategic and operational level, shaping the makeup and future of Dispensed!
Responsibilities: Driving and supporting the entire recruitment process. Lead global talent acquisition efforts, including sourcing, recruiting, and hiring to support business growth in new and existing markets. Design, implement, and manage HR strategies, policies, and procedures across all regions of operation, ensuring compliance with local laws and industry regulations. Work with the teams to help spearhead and contribute to people programs and strategies that enhance our culture, including performance management, compensation, talent development & feedback, employee engagement & retention, and internal communications. Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations as needed. Provide guidance and leadership, fostering an environment of growth, development, and performance. Collaborate with management to understand the company's goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention. Research into possible HR alternative management platforms. Setting up processes for onboarding and offboarding employees. Creating employee handbooks for different regions. Acting as a line of escalation for employee complaints and issues. Defining compensation and benefit plans and structures. Undertaking HR administrative tasks (including, but not limited to – payroll, employment agreements, and benefit administration), in parallel with HR strategic/higher level operational planning. Handle the day-to-day HR admin work in a startup environment. Promote a positive workplace culture. Support Safety and OHS management and compliance. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certifications is preferred. Proven experience as a HR Manager, with a minimum of 3 years in a management role. Strong understanding of both domestic and international HR practices. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global environment and navigate cultural differences. Proficiency in HR software and tools. Be an independent, self-starter who is proactive and can work independently. Share aligned values and an understanding of what type of team members are desired at Dispensed. Experience in a startup environment with rapid growth is desirable, requiring the ability to provide innovative solutions and navigate ambiguity. Have experience working from home.
