What you'll be doing

Reporting to the General Manager Communications & Reputation, the Head of People Communications and Reputation is responsible for leading and executing Virgin Australia's group-wide internal communications, focusing on promoting and protecting the company's reputation.

This includes designing communication strategies that ensure effective monitoring and performance measurement of Virgin Australia's internal and external communications.

Key responsibilities include:

Oversee, develop and implement internal and external communication strategies to build Virgin Australia's reputation.

Ensure best practice communications strategies and tools are being adopted.

Curate and explain the Virgin Australia story to our people.

Manage Virgin Australia's Crisis Management preparations related to internal communications.

Build and lead employee advocacy and ensure employees feel part of the Virgin Australia community.

Plan, deliver and assess the impact of communications campaigns.

Manage the strategy for the overall channels' infrastructure.

You'll be great in this role if you…

Have a degree in Communication.

Have 10+ years of experience in a senior internal and external communications role.

Have experience in a large, ideally ASX-listed, consumer-facing business.

Possess crisis management experience.

Are a strategic thinker and effective influencer.

Have deep internal and corporate communications knowledge.

Demonstrate leadership experience in managing employee groups.

Are a self-starter who can work through ambiguity.

Are passionate about aviation/travel.
