About our Opportunity:
The Head of Partnerships and Development at Flinders Foundation provides strategic leadership in planning and executing fundraising, marketing, and engagement activities aligned with the organisation's goals. This pivotal role drives integrated, data-informed campaigns to achieve sustainable growth. Reporting to the Executive Director, the position oversees a team of senior managers, managers, specialists, and coordinators, fostering collaboration and high performance.
This role offers flexibility, with the option to work full-time or part-time (0.8 FTE).
Key Responsibility Areas: Lead and empower the team to plan and deliver fundraising, marketing, and engagement campaigns across portfolios, driving growth and stakeholder engagement.Collaborate with the Executive Director on government strategies and build relationships within the Flinders Health Precinct to enable successful campaigns.Foster a high-performing, donor-centric team culture, coach and mentor staff, and support their professional development to achieve individual and organisational goals.Oversee the planning, execution, and performance of fundraising campaigns, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and maximising income and impact.Drive data optimisation and analytics to inform strategies, improve supporter engagement, and enhance fundraising outcomes.Manage diverse portfolios, including trusts and foundations, major gifts, corporate partnerships, donor development, events, marketing, and fundraising systems.Monitor budgets, allocate resources effectively, establish KPIs, and implement reporting frameworks to ensure continuous improvement and accountability.Encourage experimentation, identify trends, and integrate new technologies and approaches to optimise fundraising systems and donor engagement.Manage risks, ensure adherence to legal and ethical standards, and contribute to organisational policies, procedures, and the risk register.Represent Flinders Foundation at events and conferences, building visibility, credibility, and support for its initiatives.To be successful in this role you will have: A minimum five years experience in an executive or senior role within a fundraising organisation.An experienced team manager with the confidence to lead and develop a team of fundraising and engagement professionals.Proven success in the development of strategies and campaigns and management of staff responsible for their implementation.Strong understanding of fundraising principles, techniques, and best practices, with expertise in strategic planning and campaign management.Experience in developing and delivering strategies based on trends, analytics, and insights.Digitally and data-driven with the knowledge to use these tools to shape strategic decision-making.A solid understanding of marketing and communications in a fundraising environment.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams and individuals to achieve their full potential.Strategic and innovative thinker and problem solver, with the ability to develop and implement effective strategies that align with organisational goals and priorities.Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Demonstrated experience in financial management including models, budgets, financial planning and reporting.Outstanding spoken and written communication skills.Candidates will be required to provide a current SAPOL police check, DHS Working with Children's Check.
