Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of supply chain management, logistics, production and engineering to ensure compliance with HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), Safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards with an overall goal of meeting Company KPIs.
As a strategic leader, in addition to the above, you will be focused on continuous improvement by optimizing processes, driving efficiency, and maintaining the highest global standards of food quality and safety to meet our customer requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead and mentor the operations team across two sites fostering a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement. Collaborate with cross functional teams including sales, finance, quality and NPD to ensure a seamless integration and alignment with business objectives. Data driven analysis to monitor overall operations performance, report against defined KPI's and make decisions. Ensure compliance with HACCP and GMP standards and develop and maintain documentation and training programs related to quality and food safety standards. Develop and drive a robust continuous improvement program through the production operations. Review and update Standard Operating Procedures and KPI's. About you:
Bachelor's degree qualification in a related discipline. Minimum of 10 years experience in operations management, preferably in food manufacturing or FMCG. Strong understanding of supply chain management principles, logistics and production processes. In depth knowledge of HACCP, GMP and other relevant food quality and safety standards. Proven history of driving process improvement and cost efficiency. Demonstrated ability to build key stakeholder relationships internally and externally. Excellent leadership and communication with the ability to motivate and inspire teams. Well developed analytical decision making skills and structured report writing skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively and efficiently in a challenging environment. This position will suit an experienced hands-on production operations manager who can get back to basics, develop processes and procedures, train and develop production staff to take the business forward.
