Led by a team of dedicated doctors, nurses and an experienced team of support workers, Maxlife Care partners with its participants to provide quality care and personalised services designed to meet their complex care needs.
The Head of Nursing & Clinical Education is a key leadership role within the Maxlife organisation and brings together the two key streams of managing the clinical needs of Maxlife participants (in conjunction with the GP team) and ensuring nurse and support worker staff are trained to confidently support the needs of each participant.
The key objectives for the Head of Nursing & Clinical Education role are to:
Lead the development and delivery of quality clinical care for all participants via a small team of highly experienced nurses.Develop and deliver clinical education content to safely onboard new participants to Maxlife Care and to evolve clinical education throughout the participant's stay.Ensure that the delivery of safe and effective care is underpinned by provision and oversight of professional development of direct care workers and registered nurses including maintaining and advancing nursing practice, complex care skills and building the clinical competence of staff.Promote a high standard of evidence based clinical care to all clients, through dissemination of current best practice knowledge.Work with CMO and ELT to continually evolve and improve clinical governance and related clinical care pathways.Be the 'face' of Maxlife care across multiple participant stakeholders and provide the confidence that Maxlife has the right systems, processes, and people to manage the clinical and behavioural needs of each and every participant.The Head of Nursing & Clinical Education is a key member of our ELT and will work closely with the CMO and GM Operations and will be responsible for ELT and board reporting, Leadership and Direction of the Clinical Team and related Training and Development.
The ideal candidate will bring:
A minimum of 5 years post-registration clinical/education experience and evidence of ongoing professional development as reflected in Professional Practice Portfolio.Current Registration as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).In-depth experience as a Clinical Nurse Educator or related role that involved leading clinical education (particularly complex care), content creation and delivery of training with clinical competencies.Competent in managing complex clinical and behavioural patients/participants.Demonstrated experience in leading, mentoring and developing teams of nurses.Experience in identifying and responding to clinical risks, monitoring, and addressing clinical indicators and implementing continuous quality strategies to achieve safe and effective care.Experience in managing patients within an NDIS/aged care/complex care environment.Please click apply to begin your journey in our growing team!
