About the Opportunity As the Head of Nuclear Management Arrangements, you will contribute to defining an architecture of mandatory standards, policies, templates and guidelines for nuclear management arrangements (for implementation by programs), in line with relevant nuclear legislation and associated regulations and standards.
Responsibilities Reporting to the General Manager (GM) Nuclear Oversight, you will develop and implement strategies for nuclear management arrangements to ensure nuclear site licence conditions will be satisfied for both sustainment and build programs, ensure alignment and coordination across teams and facilitate collaboration, effectively manage, track, and report as necessary, Specify and develop mandatory standards, policies, templates and guidelines for decision making and governance arrangements, provide input into ASC's risk framework ensuring that risks within the areas of accountability are identified and adequately managed/ mitigated, and provide advice to the broader Nuclear Oversight Team.
About You You will have a Tertiary qualification in Engineering or a related discipline (Masters is preferred), Professional certification or membership in a nuclear field, 10 years' experience in a senior nuclear role preferably in defence/shipbuilding or energy sector, demonstrated ability to lead a team in a highly complex environment, exemplary communication and leadership skills, and strong knowledge of nuclear licensing and regulatory requirements.
Eligibility This role requires a current National Police Clearance, an Australian Defence Security Clearance and an ability to access protected US defence technology. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearances and approvals.
Whilst ASC will accept all applications for this role, as this role requires an ability to access protected US defence technology, applicants holding nationality of certain foreign countries will not be eligible.
