We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Network Operations to oversee our Dry Creek Operations Control Centre. In this role, you will provide strategic leadership and management to ensure the seamless and effective delivery of high-level operational functions. You will have direct responsibility for Network Controllers, Shift Managers, Network Operations Supervisors, the Train Crew Supervisor, and Team Leaders, as well as the direct supervision of Operational Shift Managers.
Key responsibilities include ensuring our passenger transport service objectives align with relevant legislation, maintaining compliance with rail safety requirements as set out in the Rail Safety National Law (South Australia) Act 2012, and delivering expert advice and consultation to internal and external stakeholders. This is a critical leadership role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our operations.
Qualifications/Experience
Required:
Completed education to Year 11 standard or equivalent.Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent or a relevant skill set or willingness to work towards same.Current Driver's Licence.Proven experience in a senior management role within an operational environment including the management of performance and mandatory learning and development requirements.Previous experience within a rail operations environment.Demonstrated knowledge of Rail Safety National Law (South Australia) Act 2012, Work Health and Safety Act 2012 & Regulations and associated Government legislation, policies, practices and operations, and risk, quality and safety management principles and systems.Special Conditions A National Police Check (NPC) is required prior to employment which must be renewed in accordance with relevant Rail Commissioner requirements.The role is classified as a Non-Critical Safety Worker Category 3 and is subject to periodic health assessments as per RSNL.Maintaining fitness for duty as a Category 3 Non-Critical Safety Worker.The role will work office hours but may also cater to occasional 'on call' requirements and some intra/interstate travel may be required.Remuneration
MAS3 - $127,589 per annum + superannuation (MAS3)
