We are recruiting for a Head of Network Design and Optimisation to join Ritchies, based in Auckland, reporting to the Director of Commercial.

This role is pivotal in providing the delivery of optimised bus and crew schedules that support operational delivery of the urban business and to ensure that vehicle and people resource is allocated within legal requirements whilst being efficient.
This role is also responsible for assisting in identifying business growth opportunities and identifying areas where resource may be able to be redeployed to increase asset utilisation.

This is an important opportunity for an individual that values utilising their influencing skills and persistent approach to provide national support across multi-disciplinary teams and organisations developing efficient schedules to meet legal requirements.
You will work closely with the Network Performance Analyst and Depot Leaders to deliver continuous improvement in network design opportunities within current contracts as well as working with our post implementation to review schedules and develop solutions as required and identify cost efficiencies.

About You
You're a leader that has experience using Hastus or Austrix or other complex scheduling software.
You have a strong understanding of the legal responsibilities involved in the delivery of operations in the Transport Field whilst also having the ability to focus on detail while maintaining an overview of the final goal.

You pride yourself on your eye for detail and your communication skills.
You're a great team player and can communicate with a variety of people and groups in a manner that is concise and easy to understand.
You take health and safety seriously and are an advocate for its importance.

Your Skills
Proven experience in Hastus or Austrix scheduling software Excellent leadership skills Ideally a tertiary qualification in business or similar Strong communicator with the ability to be empathetic Great business acumen Interest in public transport Health and safety savvy What you get
