This will require partnering to deliver new product, new channels and new segments. It will also require new ways of working and better use of data and analytics. We also need to be agile and responsive in how we shape our commercial relationships with key customers to drive new value for them and for WEX. Broadening acceptance of the WEX Motorpass payment solution is critical to the success of the business in 2024 and beyond. The Opportunity The Head Of Merchant Acceptance is charged with rolling out new merchant products and new merchant channels, finding solutions to deliver great outcomes for merchants and ultimately growing acceptance and merchant revenues for WEX. This includes influencing product design, pricing and customer service functions within the WEX APAC Mobility business. Part of the development and management of the team includes designing and administering the sales incentive plan, providing training, mentoring, coaching, and hiring suitable representatives if/when the function grows. The Job The key responsibilities include: Build and deepen relationships with fuel merchants, particularly the independent distributor networks, creating and adding value for their businesses and positioning WEX as a trusted partner; Responsibility for designing and delivering a merchant experience that delivers to objectives of the business (customer retention and acquisition). Lead and drive the commercialisation and acceptance of a range of new products and services WEX is bringing to market including: expand adoption of ; new product to help fuel distributors be more efficient and build better communities; transition legacy terminals; review approach to acquiring fees; support acceptance of EV through merchant network; and expand OPT acceptance of WEX payment tokens. Work alongside key stakeholder leads across functional teams to deliver a new end to end merchant proposition to protect and grow the company as a market leader. Create / support a high performance culture in the team.  The Person A relevant tertiary qualification, finance, business or other relevant discipline, a post-graduate degree in commercial management or business administration is desirable. At least 15 years' experience with acceptance, ideally with established relationships within the fuel or payments industry. A drive and aptitude to support and build deep customer-centric sales specialisations with increasing complexity, and the ability to manage the balance between the operational requirements of the business whilst achieving sales targets. Proven track record in initiating and contributing to strategic direction and to deliver programs of work collaboratively across multiple functions within an organisation. Strong commercial and financial acumen and proven ability to effectively use information to support strategic business decisions. Superior stakeholder management, budgeting, resource management, and strategic planning skills. Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills, and ability to successfully work with peers. Alignment with WEX leadership values and behaviours. Ability to travel as required. Australian citizenship or the ability to work in Australia.
