The Opportunity As Head of Mathematics, you will lead a committed team to deliver high-quality, data-driven, and future-focused mathematics education across the Senior School. You will:
Lead excellence in teaching by developing and implementing innovative mathematics programs aligned with the Western Australian Curriculum and WACE.Lead numeracy development initiatives in collaboration with the Dean of Years (K-2 and Years 3-6), ensuring cohesive numeracy support from early years to Senior School.Use data from NAPLAN, OLNA, and other assessments to inform teaching practices and drive numeracy interventions.Promote Mathematics extension opportunities through participation in competitions, challenges, and Math Olympiads.Encourage the development of critical thinking and problem-solving skills through inquiry-based learning and the use of digital tools.Play an active role in the Academic Leadership Team and Senior School's Academic Council, ensuring the development of high-quality Scopes and Sequences and assessments.Why Join Tranby College? Holds a Bachelor's degree in a related field with a graduate qualification in Education or a Bachelor of Education with a relevant major.Has current registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA).Has proven leadership experience in an independent school setting, demonstrating a commitment to excellence in student outcomes.Has strong knowledge of contemporary pedagogy, curriculum development, and numeracy strategies.Demonstrates the ability to lead a team in the effective use of data and emerging technologies to enhance teaching and learning.Has excellent communication skills and a commitment to fostering a culture of excellence, respect, and service.Teaching Load: 0.8 FTE5-year fixed-term appointment, with a one-year probation and potential for renewal.Active participation in the College's co-curricular and community engagement programs is required.How to Apply Address your application to Mrs Emily Goforth, Principal, and send it to [email protected] .

In the early 1990s the Rockingham Congregation of the Uniting Church started to think about possibility of establishing a low fee Uniting Church school in the southern suburbs along the lines of St Stephens in Duncraig.
The idea was endorsed by the Synod and the Uniting Church Education Commission, under the leadership of its Executive Officer, Revd Owen Roberts, started the enormous amount of work that was needed to purchase land, meet Government Regulations, build the school, appoint staff, set up an interim Council and enrol the first students.
