Responsibilities Serve as the primary liaison between the marketing team and the vertical/product team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. Strategise, plan, and coordinate the execution of both always-on and campaign-based marketing initiatives to achieve commercial objectives for assigned verticals. Support the Brand & Campaign team, to integrate across all marketing outputs, including above-the-line advertising, social media, and owned platforms (eDM, App, SMS) for your vertical/portfolio. Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to refine marketing strategies and optimize campaign performance. Evaluate the ROI of marketing efforts to ensure cost-effectiveness and goal attainment. Assist the GM of Brand in yearly planning. Foster relationships with external partners, agencies, and stakeholders to enhance marketing capabilities. Stay abreast of industry developments and incorporate best practices into the marketing strategy. Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to support the execution of marketing initiatives. The Head of Marketing plays a key role in driving marketing effectiveness and efficiency by connecting and aligning the vertical owners (Commercial leads of Health, General Insurance, or Home Loans) to the marketing engine and ensuring that all the necessary marketing channels are integrated and optimized. The Head of Marketing acts as the 'senior account director' for our internal agency "Meerkat Studios" to ensure the insights, challenges, and strategic drivers of the commercial team enable the go-to-market team to plan, build, and execute marketing activities across always-on excellence and integrated campaigns.
This role intersects with all marketing channels and directs the resources of the team to deliver on the marketing plan agreed with the commercial team - acting as a scrum lead for a cross-functional team of marketing specialists all working together to drive commercial performance for a particular vertical.
Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred. Proven experience in marketing management, either agency or client-side. Strong understanding of diverse marketing channels, including above-the-line, social media, and owned platforms. Excellent effectiveness track record - you have worked on work that works! Exceptional project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams. Analytical mindset with proficiency in data-driven decision-making. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Innovative thinking and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Demonstrated ability to manage budgets effectively. A curiosity and passion for marketing, born from an 'always learning' approach to business. Strong analytics and insight skills, with experience of customer segmentation or high-value audience marketing. Demonstrated leadership and people skills to operate in an integrated environment and align the ambitions of multiple stakeholders by building trust and uniting teams around a shared vision. Proven experience of leading Agile type process or cross-functional teams. Strong interpersonal skills to blend high-level strategic thought with empathy and practicality in order to build and motivate a high-performance team.
