Job Scope: Reporting to the Director of Manufacturing Operations Pacific, this position will lead a cross-functional team in achieving the site's operational objectives by ensuring safe working practices and maximizing productivity and efficiency while maintaining quality standards.
This role will drive continuous improvement through leadership, collaboration, and engagement of all employees at our Melbourne site with some travel to Pinkenba, QLD.
Your responsibilities: Oversee safety, output, quality, cost, and delivery at FLS Melbourne and Pinkenba, ensuring alignment with the global manufacturing footprint. Lead by example in promoting a strong Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) culture and fostering an inclusive, diverse work environment. Plan, execute, and monitor the integration of sites into the global manufacturing network, utilizing KPIs to track progress and address challenges. Standardize production systems, safety protocols, and workflows, while optimizing ERP and operational systems for greater efficiency. Drive lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and global process initiatives to boost efficiency and minimize waste. Collaborate with stakeholders to maximize asset utilization and optimize the overall manufacturing portfolio. Develop site leadership capabilities through coaching, performance management, and succession planning. Partner with global teams to align strategies, integrate systems, and enhance communication across functions. What you bring: Extensive experience in manufacturing operations within a global manufacturing environment. Experience managing distribution centers for industrial goods is a plus. Proven expertise in change management and transformational leadership. Strong ability to forecast and mitigate disruptions in demand and supply chains. Demonstrated success in setting up and/or managing assembly and manufacturing workshops with a highly diversified portfolio of small to medium-sized mechanical assemblies. Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information. Good interpersonal and customer relationship skills. Proven leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer relations. Broad understanding and demonstrated proficiency in project planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking. What we offer: Competitive remuneration package on offer.
