We are now seeking an experienced Head of Manufacturing to join Haigh's Chocolates, reporting directly to the General Manager, Supply Chain.
Forming part of the Supply Chain Leadership Team, this pivotal new role will be based at our brand new, state-of-the-art Salisbury South Complex, opening early to mid-2025.
Until then, you'll work across our existing sites with regular travel between Parkside and Mile End.
This role has been established to support Haigh's ambitious growth plans now and into the future, and will be responsible for driving production efficiency and safe production processes across multi-site operations.
Key responsibilities include:
Manage the daily operations of our manufacturing facilities, ensuring a high safety standard, compliance, and the production of exceptional quality products.
Lead the engagement of our people who are employed within the Manufacturing teams.
Execute production schedules, ensuring timely manufacturing of our products.
Oversee the financial performance of the manufacturing process, including budgeting, labour utilisation, and cost control.
Lead and develop the manufacturing leadership team by coaching and mentoring this group.
Provide your team with appropriate training, performance feedback, and opportunities for skill development.
Maintain compliance with WHS and food safety standards while managing risks and governance.
Set an example of the culture we want to bring forward at Haigh's.
Collaborate with R&D on new product launches, assessing their impact on production capacity.
Work with the engineering team on maintenance and improvements to enhance machinery efficiency.
