The two main categories are waste and recycling, and clean energy, expanding into transport and logistics, and smart cities. The business is preparing to list next year on the ASX. Due to the high level of success, there is an opportunity to join the business as the Head of Mergers and Acquisitions. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to lead high-impact merger and acquisition activities, manage crucial relationships and drive the implementation of key strategic initiatives. With a proven track record in leading complex M&A transactions from origination to execution, you will be crucial in identifying and capitalising on opportunities that align with the strategic vision. With strong financial modelling and analytical skills to conduct thorough valuations and due diligence, you will ensure that each potential deal is meticulously evaluated for its strategic fit and value creation potential. Reporting to the COO you will provide thought leadership on market trends and competitive dynamics. Your strong leadership skills and ability to navigate complex stakeholder relationships will be essential as you work closely with senior management, business units and external partners to identify, evaluate, and execute on opportunities that will define the business's future.Key Responsibilities:Provide strategic advice and insights to senior leadership on business opportunities and market conditions.Lead the development and implementation of M&A strategies, including the creation of new business ventures through partner selection, inorganic growth, and acquisitions.Develop and negotiate commercial terms for new business opportunities.Act as a liaison between various departments, ensuring alignment and effective communication across the business.Drive the development and delivery of business cases, presentations, and proposals that clearly articulate value propositions.Manage and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally.
