Carmichael College invites applications from qualified, experienced and passionate Christian leaders to commence this role in Term 2, 2025 (or earlier by negotiation).
Carmichael College is a Prep to Year 11 co-educational, non-denominational Christian College situated in Morayfield.
The College was established in 2015 and is enjoying steady growth.
By 2025 the school will have students in Prep to Year 12.
The RoleAs a strategic and relational person, the Head of Lower Primary (Prep to Year 2) will provide overall leadership and management of teacher staff and students within Prep to Year 2, and assist the Head of Primary to enable the flourishing of the Primary School in the pursuit of excellent education, intentional pastoral care and connected community.
The Head of Lower Primary will work closely with the Head of Primary, the Head of Upper Primary and be part of the Primary Leadership Team.
Essential CriteriaAn ability to work closely with the Head of Primary, the Principal, and College Leadership to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational and eternal vision and mission, focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.A demonstrated ability to manage teaching staff across the lower Primary years: including liaison, development of individual targets, monitoring and supervision of staff and curriculum implementation, assessment and reporting.A demonstrated ability to use data to improve student outcomes.Demonstrated experience of teaching in a range of primary classrooms, and in educational leadership.Well-developed communication, administration, and interpersonal skills.The ability to lead staff in Christian devotions and meetings.A passion for leading, motivating, and empowering primary staff in their professional growth.A deep understanding of a Biblical Worldview.A willingness to teach or take on other classroom duties ie.
to assist where necessary if a teacher is ill.Applicants must be registered with the Queensland College of Teachers.
