With extraordinary dining options, including Sokyo, BLACK Bar and Grill, Cucina Porto and our vibrant Sports Bar where the action is live and loud, we are dedicated to delivering the ultimate entertainment, hospitality, and dining experiences for all.The Head of Lighting, reporting to the Event Centre Technical Manager, offers the extraordinary opportunity to lead, supervise and develop the Event Centre Audio Visual (ECAV) Lighting Team to deliver lighting for both performance and corporate events within the Event Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity where you can put your skills and knowledge to the test to deliver a thrilling new era for our Entertainment department.A few of your responsibilities:Work in collaboration with the other Audio-Visual Heads of Department (Rigging / Vision / Audio) to ensure smooth and effective delivery of all Audio-Visual servicesPrepare the daily team rosterAttend production meetings and document lighting requirements for upcoming eventsProvide written quotations for equipment and labour supplied, to meet production specificationsEnsure all lighting systems are regularly serviced and where necessary carry out repairs or engage contractors to assistEnsure all business compliance and WHS processes are metWhat we are looking for:Comprehensive skills and experience in the Live Entertainment IndustryLevel of technical expertise and experience in all aspects of lighting operation and designWorking knowledge of either Vector Works or Auto CAD programsGood communication, team building and interpersonal skillsFlexibility to work through a 7 day rosterAbout you:You will have a background in lighting design or technical production and have a passion for creating custom lighting solutions tailored to the unique needs of our clients. You will strive to craft experiences that leave a lasting impression while maintaining the highest safety standards and technical precision.
