Purpose of Position:
The Head of Learning Diversity is a key leadership role responsible for promoting, developing, implementing, and evaluating a range of teaching programs to support the individual needs of John Paul College (JPC) students.
This role actively promotes the services offered by the Stewart Centre for Individual Learning (SCIL) to parents, staff, students, and the wider community.
The Head of Learning Diversity manages staff and ensures the smooth and efficient running of the Stewart Centre, reporting to the Deputy Principal Learning and Teaching.
Responsibilities:
Leadership : Inspire and support staff and students to continually improve learning and wellbeing outcomes.
Foster reflective practice, professional dialogue, and collaboration.
Programs and Support for Students : Ensure appropriate documentation and support for students with individual needs.
Collaborate with staff to provide classroom support, individual and small group tuition, and specific short-term programs.
Resourcing and Supporting Staff : Advise and support Learning Support Staff and Education Support Teachers.
Initiate professional learning for staff and provide educational advice regarding individual students.
Management of Stewart Centre : Design, develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate individual and small group programs.
Manage resources and budget for special educational needs.
Policy, Procedure, and Data Management : Maintain accurate documentation, facilitate team meetings, and manage data for funding applications and compliance with educational standards.
Requirements:
VIT Registration Demonstrated experience in leading curriculum development and fostering innovation Proven ability in communication, collaboration, and leadership Commitment to supporting the educational and personal development of staff and students.
