What we're looking for As a part of the People & Culture team you will be heading up and onboarding a newly created team of six direct reports, responsible for overseeing the provision of learning and development, for the Affinity Education Group (AEG). The role You can prioritise and have exceptional organisational skills to: The Head of Learning & Development will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development within our organisation. This position will implement a Management Development Academy and be responsible for the design, development, and evaluation of comprehensive training programs. Design and implement a curriculum that includes training on coaching, counselling, discipline, recruitment essentials, customer service, and having difficult conversations. Facilitate workshops and training sessions on coaching essentials, change management, time management, presentation skills, building high-performance teams, and leadership at all levels. Develop, update, and manage mandatory training programs and e-learning content, ensuring they meet organizational and compliance standards. Oversee the administration of the LMS, ensuring it effectively supports online course content and the annual training calendar. Lead the employee monthly induction program and the "Welcome to Affinity" initiative, ensuring new hires are effectively integrated into the company culture. Provide change management support for large-scale system implementations and projects, ensuring effective training is delivered to all impacted employees. Develop and deliver systems training for managers on core systems, including HRIS, Time & Attendance, and CRM, to enhance operational efficiency and proficiency. Collaborate with the Affinity Learning Academy program management team to enhance accredited training offerings and explore future partnership opportunities. Mentor/Mentee structured program pairing new educators with experienced mentors, enhancing their development and retention through credential-based support. Monitor and report on training completion rates and effectiveness. Oversee the management of ECEC government grants for Early Childhood Teachers. Oversee allocation, tracking and disbursement of government professional development grants. About you: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organisational Development, Education, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Significant senior management experience in management development / organisational development in a large organisation. 7+ years of experience in Learning and Development, with a focus on management training and leadership development. Proven experience in designing and delivering training programs that drive engagement and performance. Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies. Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills. Experience managing Learning Management Systems and e-learning content creation. Strong project management skills and the ability to lead change initiatives effectively. Ability to build partnerships across departments and collaborate with diverse teams. Experience in partnering with and influencing all business levels including center employees and management.
