Position Details Kearnan College is a growing Catholic school catering for students from Kindergarten to Year 12. The College is seeking a highly motivated and innovative Head of Mathematics. This is a perfect promotional opportunity for an educator eager to undertake a leadership role. This position requires someone who is enthusiastic, energetic and able to work as part of a successful team. The College will meet the costs of relocation to Manjimup for the successful applicant.
Selection Criteria The successful applicant must:
Be supportive of the Catholic ethos of the College. A minimum of five years teaching experience. Have a detailed knowledge of current curriculum developments in Mathematics. Have excellent planning skills and the capacity to assist colleagues in the development of effective teaching programs that cater for individual differences. Have the ability to analyse and use data to inform teaching and learning practices in order to raise student levels of achievement. Possess highly effective communication and interpersonal skills so as to engage positively with colleagues, students and parents. Have excellent classroom management and organisational skills that create a supportive and safe environment. Have an excellent understanding of a variety of assessment and reporting strategies and the need to provide effective and timely feedback to parents and students. Have the capacity to be a pro-active member of a professional learning community complying with legal, administrative and professional requirements. Demonstrate an ability to integrate technology effectively into the daily classroom environment. A preparedness to be fully involved in school activities. Qualifications Required Bachelor of Education or equivalent. Applicants must have a current registration as a teacher with the Teacher Registration Board of WA (TRBWA) to be eligible for appointment.
