SIDE currently delivers Kindergarten to Year 12 (K-12) Languages programs in Chinese, French, Indonesian, Italian and Japanese.
Our students are predominantly in small regional and remote schools and have a range of diverse cultural backgrounds.
The Languages department at SIDE comprises approximately 30 teaching staff and is led by two Heads of Learning Area.
The successful applicant for this position will work in partnership with the other HOLA Languages.
To be suitable for this role, you will have a qualification to teach one or more of the languages offered at SIDE and have a thorough understanding of both the Western Australian Curriculum: Languages K-10 and ATAR Language syllabus requirements.
Familiarity with Vocational Education and Training (VET) Certificate II in Applied Languages is desirable.
The successful candidate will ideally have experience in delivering high quality effective and engaging programs to language students in both primary and secondary contexts.As a highly performing instructional and curriculum leader, you will demonstrate the ability to foster continual improvement in staff performance and lead your team in supporting the strategic directions of the school.
