Kalgoorlie-Boulder Community High School (CHS) was opened in 2006 and proudly offers secondary courses from Year 7 to 10. The school prides itself on an enrolment of over 900 students from a diverse range of socio-economic and cultural backgrounds, who all contribute to a vibrant and collaborative school culture.
The school's committed student services team ensure excellent pastoral care and monitoring of students, with a dedicated student services coordinator and officer working closely with each year group. The Role In collaboration with the Principal and members of the administrative team, the successful applicant will provide educational leadership in the school and the community by developing and promoting the school vision and encouraging school staff, volunteers from the community and others to share ownership of the school's vision and goals in respect of the relevant area of responsibility.
The successful applicant should be student and relationship focused, highly motivated, reflective, and innovative. They will ideally display the capacity to lead within a vibrant learning community where students are engaged and motivated. They should have a commitment to improved results for all students, in a planned and strategic manner. They will ideally utilise their high-level skills and monitoring processes to support all students.
Applicants should have an excellent knowledge of the Western Australian Humanities and Social Sciences curriculum and the ability to teach courses across Years 7-10, with expertise. They will ideally display exemplary teaching and learning practices, and the ability to lead a learning culture that ongoingly strengthens the capacity of their team.
