The Opportunity (Your new Job)
As the Head of IT, you will be responsible for leading a local IT team with additional support provided from offshore resources. Once joining, it is expected that you assess the current IT environment, including systems, processes and internal capabilities before designing a roadmap that would best align with the company vision.
Post transformation it is expected that the IT function operate as a highly efficient, service orientated model that has the ability to easily scale as the business grows.
As the Head of IT, you will have the knowledge and skills to position IT as a business enabler that has a seat at the table of decision making. This is a genuine leadership opportunity that will influence and drive the direction of IT as well as the wider business.
The Successful Applicant
Will hold a tertiary qualification in IT or Business management
Has trained in IT project management and holds relevant certifications (IE: PMP, Prince2, PMBOK etc).
Comes with experience leading an IT function or is an accomplished and well-rounded 2IC who is looking to take the next step up.
Is commercially astute with the financial acumen to manage your IT budget.
Can demonstrate an ability to think strategically and engage & influence 'C' level executives .
Brings established business relationships and a knowledge of the IT vendor / outsourcing sector.
Has delivered successful transformation programs for medium to large size companies.
Whilst not essential, applicants coming with industry experience within venue / asset management, property, or construction industries will be held in high regard.
