The Head of Integration Technologies will play a key leadership role within Operations. The role will lead the strategic development and operational management of integration, automation and master data management capabilities across the University. This includes the full Solution Delivery Lifecycle of partner, plan, build, transition, run and sustain for those specific applications and solutions. Automation and MDM are new capabilities that are being implemented progressively at UNSW and this role will be critical in driving the implementation including building up the team, partnerships, frameworks, policies and procedures. This role works under broad direction, is self-initiated, and performs an extensive range and variety of complex work activities and has significant influence over the allocation and management of resources and leads on user/customer collaboration throughout all stages of work. This role is familiar with recognised industry bodies of knowledge, actively seeks out new knowledge for own personal development and the mentoring or coaching of others, the role has direct reports.
Specific accountabilities for this role include: Lead the creation and review of UNSW systems capability strategy that meets the strategic requirements of the University.Influence and lead the creation and execution of integration, automation and MDM strategies, policies, standards and practices to ensure compliance between UNSW strategies, technology strategies, and enterprise transformation activities, embed new capabilities.Drive collaboration to align critical key stakeholders with diverse objectives to agree and adopt the technology strategy and new solutions.Ensure seamless connectivity between systems and applications, while also ensuring data quality, integrity and consistency between systems.Provide expert advice to identify business processes suitable for automation, and ensure automated processes are efficient, reliable, and scalable.Develop a detailed program of work, plan and implement, fostering a culture of innovation collaboration, and continuous improvement.Manage cross functional relationships across IT and business units, provide technical leadership, and take ownership of key stakeholder engagement for the Integration, Automation and MDM initiatives.Key contributor to strategic projects, providing expert, specialist advice to support transformation and strategic projects.Proactively identify and escalate potential risks and ensure security is appropriately addressed. Manage the development of risk management plans, establishment of risk controls and performance of risk mitigation activities.Align with and actively demonstrate the Code of Conduct and Values.Cooperate with all health and safety policies and procedures of the university and take all reasonable care to ensure that your actions or omissions do not impact on the psychosocial or physical health and safety of yourself or others.Ensure hazards and risks psychosocial and physical are identified and controlled for tasks, projects, and activities that pose a health and safety risk within your area of responsibility.Skills and Experience: Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field and extensive experience in a similar role and in the development and management of complex integration, automation and MDM systems to support a large and complex organisation.Superior level of Integration, Automation and MDM technology knowledge and the general technical landscape.Proven ability to successfully develop and lead the implementation of robust digital strategies to deliver business outcomes and experience with driving technology change.Strong leadership and people management skills, with significant experience in building effective / high performance teams along with developing and retaining staff.Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills including the ability to develop effective relationships and influence key stakeholders at all levels in the organisation.An understanding of and commitment to UNSW's aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines.Knowledge of health & safety (psychosocial and physical) responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.To Apply: If this is of interest to you, please submit your CV, Cover Letter and responses to the Skills and Experience outlined above and in the position description.
