About the Role The Head of ICT is responsible for GMCU's information, communication and technology portfolio (including cyber security and project management) ensuring delivery of outcomes that support the strategic priorities of GMCU. The Head of ICT ensures that the ICT function operates efficiently, provides optimal support, and the delivery of high-quality member services. This is a senior position which requires a flexible approach to work. The ICT team includes Manager ICT, Project Manager, and ICT Support Officer.
Key Responsibilities, Activities and Duties include (but not limited to): Provide input into business strategy through advice and information regarding ICT and data solutions available and suitable to supporting business and member objectives.Embed the ICT strategy and other relevant strategies, governance systems, frameworks and roadmaps. Review and amend/develop as required.Develop and maintain a system of regular reviews and updates to GMCU's ICT infrastructure, systems, processes and disaster recovery/business continuity plans, ensuring they are fit for purpose, reduce complexity and are compliant with relevant policies, procedures and legislation/regulations.Ensure adequate cyber incident response plans are in place including adequate coverage and testing.Monitor major and critical risk areas related to ICT and escalate material risk issues as appropriate.Actively manage GMCU's ICT third party service providers/vendors, including regular performance review and, as appropriate, evaluation of the information security controls implemented by those providers which manage the information assets of GMCU.Lead compliance activities including participating in and responding to internal, external and regulatory audits, relevant regulatory compliance projects, and internal information security reviews. Develop, implement and report on action/remediation plans where required.Key Qualifications and Skills: Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology (or related discipline).Previous experience in a senior ICT position.Strong ability to build relationships with multiple stakeholders, including peers, staff, third-party providers/vendors.Relevant and recent experience in leading and managing successful teams.Development of robust ICT strategies with successful implementation.Strong commercial and contract management experience.Demonstrated high level, analytical and problem-solving skills, including the capacity to exercise sound judgement to identify priority issues for attention and develop recommendations within a service delivery environment.Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.Demonstrated ability to manage competing work priorities to meet tight deadlines, and to work professionally to complete tasks as an individual and as a member of a team.The ability to successfully meet GMCU's pre-employment screening requirements.Applications Close Friday 17 January 2025 Keen to apply or want further information?
