In this Head of First Nations role, you will lead NAB's First Nations Affairs team, responsible for: Strategic design and delivery of NAB's First Nations economic development strategyOversight and management of successful delivery of the NAB Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP)Secretariat for key relevant governance bodies, including NAB's RAP Council, First Nations Advisory Group and accountability for internal and external reportingIdentification and management of strategic community partnerships to increase positive impactDesign and implementation of strategic advocacy activities, in support of the Group strategy and RAP ambitionsEngagement with First Nations communities and stakeholders such as Reconciliation Australia and NAB's First Nations Advisory Group, Board and Executive Leadership TeamCoordinated engagement of activities across NAB's Communications and Government Affairs & Public Policy areas to ensure a clear, consistent public positionWhat you'll bring: Demonstrated experience working with or for First Nations communities, as well as in corporate affairs or First Nations Affairs teams is essential.Project management skills and experience in communicating formal briefings at a Board and Executive level.Strong stakeholder engagement, including established relationships with First Nations leaders and community organisations to support NAB engagements and maintain our reputation.Strategic thinking and robust understanding of issues that impact First Nations communities to support better banking services and wealth building.Strong business acumen with a focus on designing and delivering shared value opportunities for First Nations CommunitiesExperience in leading and motivating teams with a high level of emotional intelligenceDemonstrated capability in developing community engagement programs, coupled with a high level of emotional intelligenceSound approach to risk and governance, including delivery of internal and external reporting.A diverse and inclusive workplace works better for everyone We know that our people make us who we are.
