Building on this heritage, our vision is to be the most trusted professional partner in supporting doctors throughout their lives and careers.About the RoleThis role has point responsibility for the development of operational plans and ownership of acquisition and retention strategies within the defined State geography, aligned with and contributing towards realisation of the national growth strategy.This will involve both direct responsibility for sales to high value and/or complex prospects, and responsibility for the medium-term planning and management to budgets of State sales team.The principle purposes of the position:Lead the office for the State of QLDDrive sales across segments and products within defined StateLead State sales teamAutonomous role with high level of responsibility and accountability for outcomes within defined StatePeople management of the Medical Indemnity team in QLDEvolving sales approach in line with the organisation's evolving products and long term strategy to continue to drive growth and diversificationUnderdeveloped sales tools/systems currently in placeKey Accountability for the role includes:Point person for the office for the State of QLDAcquisition and retention of key customers in State / cross sell to existing customersAnnual sales planning and managementProvide input into product and pricing designAct as escalation point for conflict resolutionOperational, risk and people managementLocal area marketing and State developmentState stakeholder relationship management / developmentTo be successful you will have:Tertiary qualifications in a commercial disciplineInsurance or financial planning qualifications (desirable)Successful track record in managing an organisation-wide sales department, or strategic leadership of a State/territory sales team.People management experience within a sales environmentStrategic medium term (one year) planning skillsFinancial and commercial acumenMarket analysis and understandingStakeholder management, including facilitation/negotiationPeople managementAt Avant, our people are the centre of everything we do for our members.
