About the role We are seeking a dynamic leader to oversee and optimise our global financial operations and payroll functions.
This role combines team leadership, operational excellence, and process improvement to drive efficiency and compliance across the organisation.
The Head of Finance, Operations is responsible for providing leadership, supervision and direction to teams that manage the execution of global operational finance processes, to ensure the maintenance of a robust and well controlled financial operating platform.
This includes all payment/receipt processes, short term cash flow forecasting, corporate credit card and travel programs.
The role is also responsible for overseeing the Payroll team to deliver end-to-end payroll functions, maintaining the system/processes and associated advice.
Key responsibilities will include: Leading and developing the Financial Operations and Payroll teams, ensuring high performance and professional growth.
Overseeing global finance operations, including payment processes, receipt management, and short-term cash flow forecasting.
Managing procure-to-pay processes, addressing challenges, reviewing purchase orders, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Supervising global payroll delivery, including reporting and coordination with outsourced providers.
Ensuring timely and accurate statutory lodgements, such as Payment Times Reporting.
Assisting with documentation requirements and responses for audits.
Championing process improvement initiatives to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.
About You This role is ideal for an experienced financial operations professional with a passion for leadership, innovation, and driving organisational success.
The successful candidate will likely align to the below criteria:  Tertiary qualified in Accounting, Business or Commerce and CPA/CA qualified.
Experience leading a Finance team.
Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
Knowledge of general accounting procedures and taxation concepts.
High standard of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong stakeholder management skills and excellent written and verbal communication.
Ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines and strong problem solving and analytical skills.
