The Role: Currently our client is seeking a Head of Finance to play a pivotal role in their financial hierarchy, providing strategic financial leadership, ensuring robust governance, and effective risk management across the global operations.
Reporting directly to the CEO, this role is designed for a visionary leader who is not only set to redefine our financial landscape but also to play a pivotal role in shaping the overall strategic direction of the company. As a key architect of the business future, the Head of Finance will collaborate closely with other department heads, influencing decision-making processes and driving initiatives that contribute to sustainable growth, operational excellence, and innovation across the entire organisation.


Responsibilities: Lead the development and execution of financial strategies that support our growth objectives and operational goals.Manage global financial operations with an emphasis on system efficiencies, scalability, and support for business expansion.Establish and oversee corporate finance policies and procedures, aligning with best practices and regulatory requirements.Lead internal compliance efforts and manage relationships with external audit partners to ensure financial integrity and transparency.Lead the identification, evaluation, and mitigation of financial and operational risks across the company.Develop and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions, partners, and key stakeholders, ensuring their confidence in the company's financial management.Provide strategic financial insights to support decision-making processes within the company.Mentor and develop the finance team, promoting a culture of high performance, innovation, and continuous improvement.Implement talent development plans, including succession planning for key finance roles.Identify and champion the adoption of innovative financial practices and technologies to improve financial reporting, analysis, and efficiency.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive organisational improvements and achieve cost efficiencies.Knowledge and Skills: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field required, MBA or equivalent preferred.At least 5 years of experience in financial management, with a strong background in strategic planning and execution.Demonstrated strategic thinking with the ability to develop and implement financial strategies that align with business objectives.Advanced analytical and forecasting skills, with a focus on financial modelling and data-driven decision-making.Deep understanding of financial regulations and compliance standards, particularly within the manufacturing and FMCG sectors.Proven leadership skills with the capability to mentor and develop a team of financial professionals.Adaptability and resilience, with a proven track record of leading through change.Experience with financial systems implementations and upgrades, with a preference for knowledge in cloud-based solutions and financial automation tools.Proficient in using data analytics for enhancing financial planning and strategic insights.Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively conveying financial insights to diverse audiences.Apply Today Please send your resume by clicking on the apply button or for further information, contact Matt Gavin in our Melbourne branch at 03 9691 3630 or email ****** directly.
