We are seeking a dynamic Senior Finance Leader to oversee and elevate financial operations across Molycop Australia. This pivotal role will report to the Global CFO, with a dotted line to the Australasia President, and is essential to sustaining and enhancing the company's financial health and strategic objectives while supporting each individual business unit to deliver on their targets.
The ideal candidate will be a curious, energetic, results-orientated people leader who is able to partner with senior leaders to deliver on business goals, build teams & cross-functional relationships, while ensuring that the company operates & delivers on all its regulatory & compliance commitments. Key Accountabilities: Financial Strategy and PlanningDevelop and implement financial strategies that support the business's goals; Lead long-term budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning; Provide insights and recommendations to grow both earnings and cash flow.Financial Reporting and AnalysisManage the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements, reports, and analyses to the monthly and annual calendar; Lead financial modelling, scenario analysis, and sensitivity analysis related to resource/capital allocation and acquisition/divestments; Run the monthly Reporting cycle with presentation of key metrics and performance indicators to the Global executive team each month; Work across and through the finance business partners to deliver an Operating Agenda focused on earnings improvement initiatives.Budgeting and Cost ControlDevelop and oversee the annual budgeting process; Lead a team of Finance business partners to build the budget for each business unit; Ensure alignment of financial resources with organisational priorities.Cash Flow and Treasury ManagementOversee cash flow planning, forecasting, and management to ensure liquidity; Develop strategies for capital allocation and funding for business growth; Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions.Risk Management and ComplianceEnsure compliance with regulations and reporting requirements; Implement risk management policies to protect assets and minimize financial risks; Lead FX strategy and recommendations to manage risk and market movements; Oversee internal and external audits, implementing improvements as necessary; Liaise closely with senior leaders in the USA and counterparts in other countries.Team Leadership and DevelopmentLead and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team; Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement; Mentor and guide team members in their career development.Cross-functional CollaborationWork closely with other department heads to align finance initiatives with operational goals; Identify and drive cost reduction initiatives as defined; Partner with Manufacturing, Sales and Marketing, Procurement, Legal and Human Resources to provide financial insights and support business initiatives; Contribute to key decision-making processes, including mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic investments.Qualifications & Experience: Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; post-graduate qualification may be advantageous.Professional certification (e.g. CPA) is preferred.10+ years of experience in finance, with a strong track record in financial management and continuous improvement.Proven experience in a senior finance role, with expertise in financial reporting, planning, and analysis.Manufacturing: Financial experience in manufacturing or mining industries preferred.Strong knowledge of financial regulations and risk management practices.Effective leadership and team development capability.Experience with IPO and ASX Listing is an advantage.Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.Analytical and Problem-Solving: Ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.Strategic Vision: Aligns finance strategies with organizational goals.Communication Skills: Communicates complex information clearly to diverse audiences.Adaptability: Thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment.Leadership: Leads by example, inspiring high performance and accountability, and develops capability in others.Professionalism: High degree of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.Change Agent: Ability to drive continuous improvement through understanding key drivers in a complex commercial environment.Organisational Skills: Highly effective organisational skills, with an ability to work both collaboratively and independently, managing multiple projects to achieve deadlines.Molycop: Molycop is a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation committed to excellence in all our endeavours.
