We're currently seeking a Head of Finance – Funds & Mandates, to be the primary point of contact working closely with the Funds Management team and the relevant trust accounting teams. As the point of contact you will provide insights and advice to the Funds and Mandates team, drive projects, program initiatives and optimise the contribution of Finance within Investa. This role will report to the Chief Financial Officer.
Key responsibilities: Financial advice to Fund Managers to help them implement Fund strategy and support Fund performance, reporting and complianceFinancial input into transactions and deal structuring/execution for new and existing fundsProject management of transactions and deal structuring to ensure tax, treasury, and fund accounting components of any transactions are coordinated, being the single point of contact and accountabilityLeading and providing finance expertise on relevant ESG initiatives alongside the Head of ESG, from a financial and investor reporting perspectivePartnering with Treasury and Fund Managers / Investment Managers to develop and implement debt and equity strategy (including equity raising)Input into and supporting the presentation of Financial Risk Management and Investment Review Committee papersCo-ordination of annual Fund budgeting process (working with Fund and Property Finance, Valuations, Analyst Teams)Responsible for annual review of financial policies (Valuation, Distribution, LOAs, Tax, Treasury)Responsible for content and quality of fund and mandates reporting to stakeholdersPreparation of GARCC/Board papers regarding financial matters, where applicable (recurring and ad hoc) and presentation to GARCC/BoardsCollaboration and communication with the Fund Accounting team to ensure they are fully informed to produce accurate financial statementsCoordinating the Fund Group Annual reporting including the inclusion of non-financial and ESG related disclosures.What you'll need to be successful: Commerce Degree majoring in AccountingProfessional accounting qualification: CA or CPAMinimum 2 years' experience in a similar role; head of position or senior leadership role (highly desirable)Experience in the financial services industry, ideally in real estate funds management in a large corporate environmentEngagement at executive and senior management levels on commercial issues, experience in executive briefings, troubleshooting, generating and running with ideas and constructively challenging assumptions and the status quoManaging reporting / budgeting / forecasting / year-end close processes across multiple businesses and with multiple stakeholdersStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.Why join Investa?
