We're currently seeking a Head of Finance – Assets, to oversee all the finance functions related to property management, asset management and shared services. This newly created role will lead a large team to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with relevant regulations, and high-quality strategic financial insights to support business decisions. This senior role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills and strong leadership skills.Key responsibilities:Lead and mentor a large and diverse team fostering a culture of continuous improvement and partnering with a wide range of business stakeholders.Finance lead for asset-level business initiatives, partnering with key stakeholders.Promote collaboration with other departments to develop and implement financial strategies for assets and owners.Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate financial reporting for all property management activities, including monthly and quarterly performance reporting to support strategic decision-making.Oversee property-related audits, including outgoings, trust, and GS007 compliance audits.Oversee the preparation of asset and portfolio performance statistics and reporting, including but not limited to leasing and valuation analysis.Drive high-quality regular asset-level reforecasting, proactively identifying areas for asset performance improvement.Supervise the internal and external valuation processes, collating and analysing information for reporting to Senior Leaders within Investa.Oversee core business processes including quarterly asset reforecasting and the annual budgeting cycle.Business lead for management of the MRI forecasting system, including system upgrades and maintenance and asset onboarding process.Central point of contact for shared services delivery partner and the Investa business with correspondence with Shared Services.Monitor and review service levels of Shared Service partner against all KPIs and ensure compliance with agreed processes and procedures, acting as an escalation point for any issues identified.Drive continuous improvement of the Shared Service function, including regularly reviewing standard operating procedures and guidelines.Review and lodge Payment Times Reporting data on a half-yearly basis.Administrator for ANZ Transactive banking portal.Finance lead on innovation and transformation initiatives across the business.Active role in the implementation of new or process improvement projects.Drive a culture of business partnering and accountability, working with the Property Finance team to identify areas for asset performance improvement.What you will need to be successful:Qualifications:Must have CPA or equivalent qualification.An advanced degree in accounting or finance – desirable.Experience:Extensive experience in Property Finance roles.Proven track record of leading and developing teams.System knowledge (MRI and Yardi) desirable.Driving process changes and finance transformation desirable.In-depth knowledge of property management accounting principles and practices.Working knowledge of accounting standards and regulations.Why join Investa?We're an organisation known for our culture – we're unique, friendly and transparent.
