Ongoing Full-time Sydney CBD - The Domain Clerk Grade 11/12 Total Remuneration Package up to $182,661 Salary range ($139,787 to $161,663) Established in 1871, the Art Gallery of New South Wales is located in Sydney's The Domain adjacent to the Royal Botanic Garden and near the Central Business District. The Gallery acknowledges the original custodians of this land – the Gadigal people of the Eora nation.
The Gallery attracts around 2 million visitors annually and runs Australia's largest education program with over 90,000 student and teacher visits per year.
With our expanded campus, the Gallery has a new state-of-the-art building located next to our existing and much-loved building. Providing us with close to double the exhibition space, the expanded Gallery enables us to share more art with more people and provide more family, learning and educational programming for all our audiences.

About the Role To lead, manage, and maintain all Art Gallery work sites and all facilities which support the delivery of the Art Gallery's overall strategic goals, as well as providing leadership and expertise in the conservation and heritage management of the Art Gallery of NSW.
This role will manage all building projects including the construction and fit-out within existing buildings and exhibition requirements, and will ensure efficient operation of all facilities and construction in compliance with relevant legislation and standards associated with a heritage-listed, state-significant building which operates as a public art gallery.

What technical / soft skills you require Tertiary qualifications in a field related to engineering, facilities management or construction, and/or relevant industry experience. Experience managing construction projects, facilities, and engineering-based projects as well as managing a variety of contract services. Significant experience in a similar senior role managing a complex, multi-use public building. Knowledge of the application of the Building Code of Australia, licensing, local and state government processes and Australian Standards as they relate to building, construction and facilities management. Well-developed understanding of technical issues relating to building and facilities, including understanding heritage buildings, the operation and maintenance of fire services, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems; understanding of energy reduction, waste recycling, and contract management. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with heritage conservation and management, experience in the conservation management of twentieth-century heritage sites is desirable. Knowledge of current planning, sustainability and heritage principles and practices in Australia, NSW Government Sector policy and standards, as well as the State and Commonwealth legislative environment. Highly developed project management and communication skills.
