About the role: Are you passionate about driving change and making a meaningful impact in the realms of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices?
We are seeking an experienced ESG Manager to join our dynamic team and lead our efforts in ESG reporting, climate risk management, and decarbonisation.
In this newly created role, you will play a pivotal part in advancing Village Roadshow's sustainability goals across our diverse portfolio.
Please note that this role is based in Melbourne with the expectation to travel to Queensland at least once per month.
Key responsibilities may include: Develop the publication of the annual ESG report, using a foundational ESG reporting frameworkEstablish the company's climate risk management approachIdentify and develop a unified climate risk assessment frameworkCreate climate models for quantitative risk analysis and financial impact assessmentIntegrate climate risks into financial models, ensuring compliance with disclosure regulations, and support risk mitigation effortsWork collaboratively with internal stakeholders to build understanding, alignment, and consensus for effective management of climate and ESG risks and opportunitiesDevelop and own a decarbonisation plan and emissions abatement strategyAbout you: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated professional with a strong commitment to driving positive ESG outcomes and sustainability.

The key skills and competencies we are seeking in the successful candidate include: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., environmental science, sustainability, finance, business)Postgraduate degree in Sustainability or related disciplines would be an advantageProven experience in ESG and sustainability roles, with a track record of leading, executing, and owning climate risk management initiativesExtensive knowledge of ESG frameworksStrong understanding of climate science, climate policy, and the global climate landscapeExceptional project management skills, including experience working with cross-functional teamsExcellent communication and presentation skillsProven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive climate change initiatives in a large, cross-functional organisationExperience and understanding of sustainable/climate-related finance and its impact on businessWhat we offer:In return, we offer a hybrid working culture, health & wellbeing initiatives, as well as regular fun social events.
