Head of Enterprise Risk & Program StrategyAbout Inland Rail
The Inland Rail Program is a 1600km rail infrastructure project stretching from Brisbane to Melbourne incorporating new and existing rail track.
The program includes the upgrading of existing standard gauge track, the enhancement of existing standard gauge track to cater for double stacking and the construction of new standard gauge links comprising of viaducts, tunnels, rail track, crossings and bridges.

About the opportunity
As the Head of Enterprise Risk & Program Strategy, you'll be supporting the Board and Executive Leadership Team (ELT) in implementing the enterprise risk management framework across Inland Rail and fostering a positive risk management culture.
Ensuring risk management oversight drives the delivery of the strategic planning priorities, you will lead the development, review and performance reporting against the strategic objectives.
Essential to this position is a collaborative approach to risk management, enhancing decision-making and performance outcomes, and managing and reporting strategic plans and business initiatives.
Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to: Guiding the Board and ELT in relation to responding to the evolving external and internal landscape in relation to requirements, expectations and benchmarking on strategic objectives and enterprise risk management.Leading the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the risk management framework, ensuring alignment with ISO31000:2018, Commonwealth Government risk management policies and GBE guidelines relating to risk management.Managing the IRPL resilience framework, working collaboratively with areas accountable for crisis/emergency management, disaster recovery, security management and business continuity.Embedding risk-based controls assurance in the risk management framework.Program Management of several key initiatives to embed revised ways of operating for Inland Rail ensuring delivering to legal, regulatory and compliance requirements.About you
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a strategic and/or risk management leadership position, preferably within a major project's environment interacting with executives, shareholders and board members.
You should possess strong leadership, project management, governance and stakeholder influencing skills.
Excellent communication and the ability to deliver strategic outcomes are crucial for success in this role.
Additionally, you should be able to demonstrate:
Tertiary qualification in business, engineering, accounting or relevant experiences.Experience in developing and leading teams in relation to strategy or risk management.Proven experience in creating high quality management reports targeted to meet recipient needs, including Executives, Board and external regulators.Working knowledge of GBE /ASX requirements in relation to strategy and risk management expectations and requirements (highly desirable).What you'll be joining
