Woodside led the development of the LNG industry in Australia and is applying this same pioneering spirit to solving future energy challenges.Our global headquarters are based in Perth and our state-of-the-art campus reflects the quality of life Perth is known for - with a six Green Star rating, advanced wellness features and flexibility in how you work.About the Role:Reporting to the Vice President Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC), the Head of Enterprise and Corporate Risk Management role is accountable for managing Woodside's enterprise risk exposure by challenging and adapting the management of risks.This position is based in the Perth office, and you are responsible for setting and measuring risk appetite for enhanced risk-informed decisions and outcomes. You will also be accountable for defining and implementing Woodside's risk management strategy, framework, processes and tools for use across the organisation.As the Head of Enterprise and Corporate Risk Management, you will ensure that Woodside complies with corporate governance, regulatory and sustainability risk management and reporting standards and anticipate future trends and requirements. You will lead a team that delivers advice and expertise to Woodside in respect of strategic and emerging risks and delivers governance, risk, privacy and compliance expertise to the Woodside Group Corporate Teams (Finance, HR, Legal, Strategy, External Affairs, Sustainability and Policy). You will also provide directions on risk policy and trends and embed requirements.Duties & Responsibilities:Define and deliver Woodside's enterprise risk strategy, framework, processes and tools across the organisation that drives the desired risk culture.Manage Woodside's enterprise risk exposure by challenging and adapting the management of risks.Influence company risk policy and own the procedures for risk management.Partner with the executive and Board to define, set and measure risk appetite for enhanced risk-informed decisions and outcomes.Provide direction on risk policy and trends, including emerging sustainability disclosures.Provide actionable direction and guidance on how to improve risk management and reduce exposure.Build global organisational risk maturity through tailored training and coaching.Lead a team that delivers advice and expertise to Woodside in respect of strategic and emerging risks and delivers governance, risk, privacy and compliance expertise.Provide the insights and risk intelligence to inform strategy and decisions.Provide an independent appraisal of control effectiveness and risk management across Woodside to the executive and Board in accordance with corporate governance and regulatory requirements.Influence executive leadership to take actions that reduce exposure to downside risk and consider upside opportunities.Ensure material risks are mitigated systemically, with processes established to design and operate effective controls.Accountable for oversight of application of the Woodside Management System in the Corporate functions.Accountable for delivering a business assurance regime that aligns with the Three Lines Model and meets leadership's expectations for good governance.Skills & Experience:Tertiary qualifications: Bachelor/Masters degree with appropriate specialisation qualifications.Oil and gas experience is preferred but secondary to dynamic and influential leadership ability.Understanding of complex governance frameworks and systems.Expertise in managing risk systems and processes for a large corporation.Proven understanding of strategic risks and how businesses can prepare for these.Build organisation risk maturity through training, coaching and development of leaders and employees.Continue to support initiatives aimed at streamlining processes and systems across the business to deliver continuous improvement.If you think you can do this job but don't meet all the criteria, that's OK!
