St Andrew's Cathedral School is seeking a passionate, enthusiastic, experienced secondary school educator to join our committed and professional staff as the Head of Department, English. This is a full-time, permanent position, commencing Term 1 2025.
Who will the successful applicant be? Experienced in leadership in curriculum development and implementation of syllabusEnthusiastic about English, with the ability to inspire secondary age studentsFlexible in working with a range of student abilitiesKnowledgeable of recent developments in the theory and practice of senior secondary pedagogy and specifically how this applies to their subject areaOutstanding in interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the wider English TeamConfident in the use of technology and a willingness to embrace it to enhance learning in the classroomUnderstanding of and having a commitment to the School's Christian mission, values, and ethosPrevious experience teaching International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP) is highly desirable.
