What is the Role?
St Andrew's Cathedral School are seeking a passionate, enthusiastic, experienced secondary school educator to join our committed and professional staff as the Head of Department, English. This is a full-time, permanent position, commencing Term 1 2025.
Who will the successful applicant be?

Experienced in leadership in curriculum development and implementation of syllabus
Enthusiastic about English, with the ability to inspire secondary age students
Flexible in working with a range of student abilities
Knowledgeable of recent developments in the theory and practice of senior secondary pedagogy and specifically how this applies to their subject area
Outstanding in interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the wider English Team
Confident in the use of technology and a willingness to embrace it to enhance learning in the classroom
Understanding of and having a commitment to the School's Christian mission, values, and ethos

Previous experience teaching International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP) is highly desirable.
