Head of Engineering - Melbourne, Australia - T+O+M ExecutiveDescriptionWe are seeking a visionary and experienced Head of Engineering to lead the development and expansion of our clients AI-driven FinTech platform. As the Head of Engineering, you will drive technical strategy, foster innovation, and ensure the scalability, stability, and performance of their platform as they grow globally.Architect, design, and implement distributed systems capable of handling large-scale data and ensuring high availability.Lead the technical roadmap for scaling platforms and engineering teams during rapid growth phases.Build and lead a high-performing, geographically diverse engineering team across regions.About you:
3+ years experience working in a "Head of" capacity.Proven experience in leading and scaling engineering teams and platforms, particularly during periods of rapid growth.Extensive experience with distributed systems architecture, microservices, and event-driven systems.Strong background in cloud-native solutions (Kubernetes, Docker), with expertise in performance optimization, fault tolerance, and high availability.Experience managing geographically distributed teams, fostering collaboration across diverse locations.Role: Head of Engineering & Digital Delivery · Role Type: Short Term Contract (3-4 Months+) · Start Date: Early / Mid-November · We are seeking an experienced Head of Engineering to step in for a short-term contract while our current Head is on personal leave. This role is ideal for someone with the necessary skills and experience to lead our engineering efforts during this transition.
The Opportunity: As the Head of AU Engineering, you own the outcomes of the Australian Delivery Engineering teams. You will work with the Heads of Engineering across APAC to continually review and improve the engineering practice for ongoing improvements in critical areas.
