Head of Disability ServicesAre you a passionate leader ready to drive impactful change in disability services? We are seeking a dedicated Head of Disability Services to lead and oversee the operations and strategic direction of a growing disability services team and NFP in Southwest Sydney.
Lead a passionate team committed to delivering person-centred disability services while driving innovation and service growth.Foster an inclusive, positive team culture that champions excellence and client engagement.Full-time, permanent role located in Southwest Sydney, with flexibility to work from home one day a week.Impact of the organisationAn established, community-focused organisation that has empowered individuals and strengthened the resilience of Sydney's Southwest for more than five decades. What began as a local initiative for social development has grown into a diverse not-for-profit with a dedicated team representing over 17 cultural backgrounds, providing vital services in community development, children and families, and disability support.

The impact you will make in the roleIn this role, you will drive and embed the operational delivery of exceptional, client-focused disability services that truly enrich the lives of participants and their families. Working closely with and reporting to the COO, you will be a key member of the Leadership Team, providing insights to support the organisation's new strategic plan that will strengthen service quality, growth opportunities, and financial sustainability, while fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
As Head of Disability Services, you will position the organisation as a trusted, innovative service provider, championing participant voices and embedding them into every aspect of program design and service delivery. With a focus on continuous improvement, NDIS compliance and practice standards, and stakeholder engagement, you will play a crucial role in expanding our service offerings and enhancing our influence within the broader community.
About youYou're an innovative leader with a strengths-based approach and a passion for excellence in disability services. As a confident communicator, you build trust and collaboration, empowering your team to deliver outstanding, inclusive support. To succeed in the role, you will also have:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field in community services.Demonstrated leadership experience within disability or community services, with the ability to effectively lead people and teams through changing environments.Advanced knowledge of NDIS Practice Standards and Quality Indicators with an understanding of, and commitment to, person-centred practice and active support.Proven commercial and financial acumen and experience managing budgets and overseeing rostering.A growth-oriented and strategic mindset, demonstrating innovation and creativity in problem-solving.Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple competing projects and deadlines.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to supporting diverse communities.Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check.If you're ready to lead with purpose and make a tangible difference in the lives of people with disabilities, apply now to join a team dedicated to empowering communities in Southwest Sydney.
