The Head of Technology at Girton Grammar School plays a pivotal role in shaping and driving the technology strategy within the educational context.
This leadership position is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and management of all technology-related initiatives within the school, ensuring that they align with the school's educational goals and objectives.
The Head of Technology is responsible for leading a team of technology professionals, managing budgets, and staying current with emerging technology trends to drive innovation and enhance the educational experience across subjects such as systems engineering, food technology, design and technology (woodwork and plastic), and product design textiles.
Selection Criteria
Appropriate qualification and registrations as a teacher Proven experience in educational leadership role, with a track record of excellent teaching.
Strong understanding of educational research around the science of learning and explicit instruction and willingness to continue to improve their own teaching practice.
Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills in an educational context.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with educators and stakeholders at all levels.
Strong project management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
